September 25–27, 2026
Join us for a weekend of adventure, connection, creativity, and reflection in beautiful Decorah, Iowa.
Friday, September 25
Arrival: 11:00 AM
We’ll kick off the weekend with an afternoon on the water, kayaking and canoeing along the Upper Iowa River before making our way to High Point Cabins. Once settled in, we’ll gather for a welcome toast and introductions, share a delicious dinner, and wind down together around the campfire.
Saturday, September 26
Start your morning with coffee or tea and a little time for yourself before easing into the day with movement and mindfulness in nature. We’ll gather at an iconic Decorah landmark, Impact Coffee, where you’ll hear from the inspirational Paige Flotterud before she leads you through a painting and meditation class!
The afternoon offers time to explore Decorah at your own pace, whether that means hiking, fishing, wandering through town, or simply relaxing at the cabins. We’ll come back together for cocktails and appetizers before sharing dinner and an evening around the campfire, with a sound bath to help us settle in and recharge.
*Complimentary Concierge Services: During afternoon free time, Beyond Barriers is happy to help coordinate additional local experiences upon request, including spa services, fly fishing, hiking, biking, and more. Please note that the cost of any requested activities or services is not included in the retreat price and will be the responsibility of the attendee.
Sunday, September 27
Departure: 10:00 AM
We’ll begin our final morning with coffee or tea, journaling, and time in nature before gathering for breakfast and our closing circle: a chance to reflect, connect, and carry the experience forward with us.
After our closing circle, we’ll pack up and say our goodbyes before departing at 10:00 AM.
Please note: The itinerary is subject to change. Additional details and the full schedule will be shared with attendees during the retreat.
